Kim van der Velden (1995) is een tattoo artiest uit Venlo. Aan het Sint lucas in Boxtel volgde ze een opleiding tot keramiste, maar vond uiteindelijk haar roeping in illustreren. Het balletje is gaan rollen toen ze vanaf 2018 deel uit maakte van het team van Taihutattoo. Voor haar is vormgeven van illustraties een vorm van zelfexpressie. Ze wordt geïnspireerd door de schoonheid die ze vindt in de werken van Henri Matisse, William Morris en Mike Willcox. Haar werk wordt gekenmerkt door een mix van diverse stijlen zoals art nouveau, traditional tattoo, minimalisme en de midden-oosterse berber cultuur. Kim van der Velden is a tattoo artist from Venlo. At sint Lucas Boxtel, she followed an education to become a ceramic professional. Eventually found her passion in illustrating. In 2018 she became a member of the crew at Taihutattoo. For her, tattooing is a form of self-expression. She is inspired by the beauty she finds in the works of Henri Matisse,William Morris and Mike Willcox. Her work is characterized by a mix of various styles such as Art nouveau, traditional tattoo, minimalism and the middle eastern berber culture.
